  • Lunch at MTR was something we craved for.
  • During summer holidays play non-stop Super Mario with friends as commentators :)
  • The cricket matches bitter-sweet memories of wins & losses at Chinnaswamy stadium.
  • Visiting Alankar Plaza in Majestic for all festivities & being mesmerised by using the escalator.

  • Movies at Sagar or any theatre in Majestic with all the hype around it
  • Watching Mayamruga & Sunday 4 pm Kannada movies of Ramesh Arvind on Doordarshan :)
  • Watching Alif Laisa, Shaktimaan, Nandu Apna, etc with an excuse of improvising our Hindi for good marks.
  • Sundays starting with Rangoli on Doordarshan with old Bollywood vibes.
  • Evening walks to VV Puram for the food street.
  • The new love of softie ice creams at Bashyam Circle.
  • The never-ending crush & secret visits to Corner House or grabbing Amul ice creams.
  • School results at the Feast Ice Cream only if I scored well in math.

  • Mosquito nets were another luxury item in the household.
  • The vegetable cart vendors, their perfect timings that mom would be ready for without any technology seem to be a miracle.

  • Christmas at MG Road Nilgiri’s plum cake exhibition, Cake exhibition near St. Joseph’s college campus, & walking in Church street used to be pleasant sight.
  • Shivraatri spent as Kempfort Shiva Temple was such a bliss.
  • No festivities would start without visiting the temple in the early hours.
  • Having dinner with family sitting on the redoxide floor which used to be cold was a mandate with no excuses.
